20th June 2024, 12:00 to 13:00 @ Online
Join the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office’s monthly H2IQ Hour webinar on June 20, 2024, at 12 p.m. ET for a presentation summarizing the results of the National Petroleum Council’s (NPC’s) study on low-carbon hydrogen and its potential to support the United States in achieving a net-zero emissions future. This session will be led by NPC study participant Darin Rice, general manager of hydrogen strategy and market insights at Chevron, with several other study participants available for audience questions.
As one of DOE’s Federal Advisory Committees, the NPC formed a study team consisting of industry, academia, and nongovernmental organizations to gather their diverse perspectives and expertise to assess low-carbon hydrogen’s potential to:
- Decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors and enable new energy pathways while reducing emissions at a lower cost to society.
- Facilitate the improvement of policy and regulatory frameworks to help nascent energy and technologies expand.
- Support the advancement of health, safety, and environmental management for both new and existing energy projects.
The H2IQ Hour will include a 30-minute live presentation followed by a 30-minute Q&A. A recording of the H2IQ Hour will be available on HFTO’s website after the event.
