The UK Government are out to consultation on proposed amendments to the Contract for Difference process. This is the main driver and support mechanism for offshore wind sector in the UK.
The webinar will consist of a 20 minute presentation on the proposed changes and what this will mean for the supply chain companies followed by a 10 minute Q&A session with the audience posing the questions.
These proposed changes will impact the development of offshore wind by:
- introducing measures to support floating offshore wind
- increase the scale of individual projects
- add storage
- see the return of onshore wind and solar technologies to the CfD process.
This webinar is to help members understand how these proposals may affect the industry and what new opportunities could arise for them in Scotland and the wider UK market.
