With Brexit day fast approaching, and much still to be decided about the details of the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union, many businesses across the North Highlands have concerns about how Brexit will impact them.
Help is at hand, however, in the form of a free business breakfast being hosted on 1 March 2019 in Thurso by the Europe Direct Information Centre (EDIC) which is managed by Caithness Chamber of Commerce.
Taking place at the Pentland Hotel from 08:00 to 11:00, the event will feature expert speakers from Inverness Chamber International, the Local Export Partnership for the Highlands & Islands, Scottish Development International, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Enterprise Europe Network, and Skills Development Scotland.
As well as hearing presentations from the speakers, the event will feature a Q&A session giving businesses the chance to ask their questions direct to the panel.
For those that can’t join the event in person, the event will be streamed live on Facebook to allow those who can’t attend to watch the presentations and ask questions live.
Businesses wishing to attend can contact the Europe Direct Information Centre or the Chamber on europedirect@caithnesschamber.com or by calling 01847 500108.

In addition, the EDIC team will be hosting public drop-in sessions at Thurso and Wick Libraries for individuals with questions about how Brexit might affect them. These will take place from 12:30-14:00 (Thurso) and 14:30-16:00 (Wick), with no registration required.
