About the Caithness Chamber of Commerce
About Us
The Caithness Chamber of Commerce was established in the 1970s by Caithness Glass and a group of businesses operating out of the Airport Industrial Estate, Wick.
In the late 1980’s it embarked on a campaign to secure improvements to the A9 road, the main artery in and out of County. Only now are we enjoying some of the benefits arising from this effort!
More recently, the Chamber has been pushing for improved rail and air links and fully supports the developments being undertaken at Scrabster and Wick harbours.
In the run up to the decommissioning of Dounreay, the Chamber is now entering a new era and aims to become a lead partner in the Caithness and North Sutherland Regeneration Partnership.
The Chamber is the foremost business networking organisation in the County and arranges a number of events throughout the year to facilitate this vital interaction between business owners and managers. Our annual dinner is the highlight of the year at which past keynote speakers have included key business leaders such as Tom Farmer.
